Adsense Referrals 2.0 A Bit Of A Hassle?

Adsense Referrals 2.0 become available to all adsense publishers around June this year I believe. Initially there seemed to be a lot of confusion around the whole concept of the program and some webmasters really have had hassles using adsense referrals 2.0. Others aren't too familiar with the program as yet and have been asking quite a few questions around it. On initially looking at referrals from your adsense account it looks overwhelming but it's not as complicated as it looks.

Before, the referrals program enabled you to let your users sign up for a small number of google products. However, Google launched the updated Adsense Referrals 2.0 which now includes categories for which you can choose from. Referrals 2.0 offers products from thousands of AdWords advertisers and now you can use category and keyword targeting to refer the products you choose to best fit your site. You can also optimize the ad unit for your site for the products you refer by selecting the "Pick best performing ads" option.
